Mr. Crimmins has had extensive experience as a litigator, from the representation of individuals in the prosecution of small contract disputes to the nationwide defense of some of the country’s largest pharmaceutical firms. Mr. Crimmins’ practice has had an emphasis on complex products liability litigation, and he has been involved in cases involving products liability issues in state and federal courts across the country. Mr. Crimmins’ current practice involves the representation of individuals and corporations in the prosecution and defense of civil claims, including contract disputes, personal injury, real estate, and insurance.
Mr. Crimmins is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Kansas and Illinois. In addition to being acquainted with the laws of various different states, Mr. Crimmins also has had experience with all levels of the litigation process. Mr. Crimmins has been involved with civil and criminal cases at the trial level as well as cases at various stages of appeal, including appeals to various state and federal appeals courts, and a petition for certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States. While in law school, Mr. Crimmins won the award for Best Oralist for appellate oral argument at the Washington College of Law’s Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition.
In addition to the above practice, Mr. Crimmins has also been involved in the Kansas City area community. He has been a speaker at continuing legal education seminars, as well as seminars for non-lawyers. He has worked with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law on issues relating to Missouri election law and voting rights. Mr. Crimmins has also been involved with the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Volunteer Attorney Project in its effort to combat the increased targeting of low income and elderly residents by negligent/fraudulent home improvement companies and predatory lenders. Mr. Crimmins was awarded the Robert C. Welch Volunteer Attorney Project Award in 2004 for work done on a case brought against a contractor for negligent / fraudulent home repair.
