Paula Brown
Of Counsel
Ms. Brown is a trial lawyer practicing in the area of complex commercial litigation. She has many years of experience in cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death, professional negligence, securities fraud and insurance bad faith. Ms. Brown has also acted as regional counsel on behalf of major a pharmaceutical company in complex products liability litigation. Her clients have included both individuals and corporations, and plaintiffs and defendants.
Ms. Brown has first-chair trial experience. She has also argued cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals and Missouri Supreme Court. In addition to trying cases, Ms. Brown also has extensive experience in the mediation and settlement of matters.
Before attending law school, Ms. Brown spent six years in the television news industry as an anchor, reporter, producer and videographer. She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, having served as Managing Editor of the UMKC Law Review and receiving additional honors. Ms. Brown is also a past-President of the Lawyers Association of Kansas City, which is a service organization focused on helping the less fortunate and fostering professional development. She is also active in her church and in her children’s school.
