Matthew R. Crimmins

Mr. Crimmins is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Kansas and Illinois, and has had extensive experience as a litigator in these and other states. He has represented a wide variety of clients, from individuals and small businesses in the prosecution and defense of contract disputes to large classes of individuals and some of the country’s largest companies in the prosecution and defense of complex products liability lawsuits.
Mr. Crimmins’ practice has had an emphasis on complex class action litigation, and he has been involved in class action cases in state and federal courts across the country. Mr. Crimmins has represented clients at all levels of the litigation process, from the trial level to various stages of appeal, including appeals to various state and federal appeals courts, and a petition for certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Crimmins’ current practice involves the representation of individuals and corporations in the prosecution and defense of civil claims, including contract disputes, personal injury, employment, insurance and class actions.
In addition to the above practice, Mr. Crimmins has also been involved in the Kansas City area community. He has been a speaker at continuing legal education seminars, as well as seminars for non-lawyers. He has worked with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law on issues relating to Missouri election law and voting rights. Mr. Crimmins has also been involved with the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Volunteer Attorney Project in its effort to combat the increased targeting of low income and elderly residents by negligent/fraudulent home improvement companies and predatory lenders. Mr. Crimmins was awarded the Robert C. Welch Volunteer Attorney Project Award in 2004 for work done on a case brought against a contractor for negligent / fraudulent home repair.
